Unique Toilet Seat Artist Barney Smith

Wow, soon after writing my earlier post about the Toilet Seat Museum I received a tip about Barney Smith's Toilet Seat Art Museum! I realize most of you arrive on my unique toilet seats site looking for a special commode seat for your bathroom. I'm happy you're here and I'm sure you can find the unique toilet seat you're looking for because I offer only the highest quality toilet seats at the best prices (often with free shipping too!).

But why not have a little fun while you're shopping for that special toilet seat? That's why I wrote about our local Toilet Museum in my earlier article. Well, Barney Smith, an 86-year-old retired master plumber, is the Picasso of toilet seat color.

Barney has created over 700 colored toilet seat works of art. It all started more than 30 years ago. Barney is inspired to paint and engrave his toilet seats from personal experiences and places he has visited around the world.

Each work of art is numbered, photographed and cataloged. He only works with pressed wood toilet seats because the hard wood and plastic toilet seats don't lend themselves to engraving or painting.

If you're ever in the San Antonio, Texas area, be sure to drop by Barney Smith's Toilet Seat Art Museum. He even has a 15 minute video theater presentation showing his museum being covered by the national news outlets including the Today Show. For directions visit Roadside America. Ironically, the Toilet Seat Art Museum has no bathroom.
