Novelty Toilet Seat with Jesus Image

This is a story about a designer toilet seat that is uniquely one of a kind. It's not one of the Bemis toilet seats, bidet toilet seats, electric toilet seats or even one of the Ginsey toilet seats. This is a toilet seat designed by God!

Seems a  Las Vegas woman saw a sign from the heavens when she felt the urge to go. Magdalena Nelson's guest bathroom is decorated with a "I love Las Vegas" theme. However Magdalena claims she saw an image of Jesus on her toilet seat lid's bumper sticker.

Others, including her boyfriend say they have seen the divine image and it's given them a positive feeling after they had recently suffered some financial setbacks. Nelson says she's even willing to let visitors come see it because it might help them as well.

She has even offered to sell the entire toilet, bowl and all! Watch this unique toilet seat video below and see if you can see Jesus on this toilet seat.

Unique Toilet Seats of a Bygone Era

As you look at all the unique toilet seats on these pages did you ever wonder what toilet seats were like a 150 years ago? Folks back then didn't have a wide selection of colored toilet seats to choose from.

However, many people did have toilets in their homes even if they did not enjoy central plumbing. Yes the outhouse was very common but also available was the indoor commode.

One fancy toilet seat available back then was a bureau and commode combined. It was one of the top toilet seats and not everyone could afford it. Here's how it was described at the time.

Toilet is More Than a Seat

The importance of the subjects of which this volume treats may be gathered from the following articles on toilet, unique toilet seats, their history and therefore need only be generally referred to here. That " cleanliness is next to godliness " has been long a household proverb ; and that many other duties connected with bathrooms and sanitary toilet seats are subordinate only to personal cleanliness will, I think, be readily admitted.

A Unique Toilet Seats Top Toilet Seats Museum?

Unique toilet seats and top toilet seats have always interested me. It's not as odd as you think when you consider that I grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts, original home of the American Sanitary Plumbing Museum better know as the Toilet Museum. A couple of years ago the Toilet Museum moved down the road to Watertown, Massachusetts but I moved to Hopkinton, MA, so it's still close by.

The Toilet Museum was started by Charles Manoog, owner of a successful plumbing supply business in Worcester. Charles' son Russell and his wife Bettejane continued to run the museum until 2008, when they donated its plumbing artifacts to a Watertown concern.
